ULTRAVOX "Island Years "が3月22日に発売になりましたが、今日、店頭で見て見ましたが かなり前にUKで発売していた再発ものでしたネ！ 大きな勘違いしてました。 それにしても裏ジャケのダサさと歌詞、解説は一切ついていませんと帯に書かれておりガッカリ。 ﾈｯﾄで注文してましてまだ発送前だったのでｷｬﾝｾﾙしちゃいました。 それに表紙のｱｰﾄﾜｰｸも以前に比べ印刷の状態が最悪。 ほとんどﾒﾝﾊﾞｰも画像が滲んでました。 輸入盤もﾁｪｯｸしてみましたが、裏ジャケは日本盤に比べ若干許せるかな？ でも購買力は無かったですネ！ 再発で値段が安くなるのはいいのですが、粗悪な感じでｲﾏｲﾁ買うにいたらないですね〜

こんばんは。 最近は少し時流に乗ったような買い物をしているような、してないような produkt voxです。 KARL BARTOS「Camera Obscura」 彼自身があらたに設立したレーベルからの初シングルですが、大手ショップ にはどこも入荷せず、ドイツのハンブルグにあるオフィシャルサイトでしか 売っていないようです。 新曲、かと思ったら、2003年のアルバム収録曲でもある「The Camera」の別 テイクみたいなものでした。微妙に歌いまわしが違ったりしますが、この辺 の感覚は微妙です（笑） なお、このシングル単品では発送できないとのことだったので、実は所有し ていなかった「15 Minutes Of Fame」も購入しました。このシングルも今は オフィシャルサイト以外では購入が困難になってますね。 capsule『L.D.K. Lounge Designers Killer』 昨年出したアルバムです。ピコピコサウンド全開でノリノリ（笑） 全10曲30分ちょっとですが、お値段もオトクです。 03年の「キャンディーキューティー」あたりから知りましたが この感覚は結構病みつきになります。 まるで別のグループみたいなファーストアルバム『ハイカラガール』 も結構好きです。 ICEHOUSE『MEASURE FOR MEASURE』（リマスター） オーストラリアのULTRAVOX・・・なんて評価も昔ありましたけど、 ROXY MUSICあたりのモダンさとか、どことなく英国っぽい香りが するところとか好きでしたね。「No Promises」は特に心にしみます。 このアルバムはSteve Jansenが5曲叩いてます。 もう20年も前のアルバムとは！リアルタイムで聴いていたので時の 流れの速さを感じてしまいます。 こうだくみ（ウチのパソコンでは漢字が出てきません！！）『ベスト』 「限定」につられて（笑）CDとDVDどっちが特典かわからないような 仕様です。
mixiでも書きましたが、 何気にMetamatic.comを見ていたら書いてありました。 ポール＆ロビン・サイモン兄弟の新ユニットAjanta Musicが １月のアルバム "And Now We Dream"をリリースしたそうです。 音はイビザ系のクラブミュージックで、 chill-out, blending world music, electronic beats, trip-hop,dubの要素を盛り込んだ内容のようです。 http://www.ajantamusic.com/index.htm

なんか情報がいっぱいあって嬉しいですね。 特にアイランド時代のアルバムのリイシューで、 along with a selection of appropriate extra tracks というのがとても気になりますね。 それぞれの時期のエクストラトラックだから、Modern Love/QuirksやRetro Liveのように 一応正式にリリースされたもの以外の音源もありそうな期待があります。 それから「チームULTRAVOX STATION」、僕も都合がつくようだったら参加したいです。

John E-Mailed me earlier today with a brief update about his ongoing projects with Robin Guthrie, Harold Budd, Bill Nelson, Steve Jansen, Theo Travis and Louis Gordon... <italic>"Robin [Guthrie] and I are finishing off an album now. Plays a blinder. Very pleased to work with him. Harold and Bill and I are in touch and working out how to go about it. Haven't managed to finish work on Steve and Theo's marvellous materials, but will as soon as I get some time. Just finished two solo albums 'Tiny Colour Movies' and 'Imaginary Music'. 'Tiny Colour Movies' will be out soon. Presently working on two albums with Louis plus the 'Cathedral Oceans' DVD. Another couple of projects are also chain smoking in maternity." </italic>I understand that "Tiny Colour Movies" (which was originally going to be called "Musique Electron") is an album of predominantly electronic music (in a similar vein to Neu! and Brian Eno), whilst "Imaginary Music" is 'similar' in style to "Cathedral Oceans". As ever, full details regarding the progress of all of these projects will be posted on Metamatic just as soon as the details have been confirmed. ***** Island albums : "Ultravox!", "Ha! Ha! Ha!" & "Systems of Romance"... The first three Ultravox albums ("Ultravox!", "Ha! Ha! Ha!" & "Systems of Romance") are finally going to be re-released later this year. The albums, along with a selection of appropriate extra tracks, are currently in the process of being re-mastered. The accompanying artwork is set to include lyrics as well as extensive sleevenotes. I'll post further details (release dates, final track-listings, catalogue numbers, etc.) as soon as they've been confirmed. ***** Humania : "Sinews of the Soul"... The Humania album "Sinews of the Soul", which has been available for some months as a download over on Billy Currie's website (http://www.billycurrie.com), is to receive a more formal release on the 6th of March... For those who don't know, Humania were formed in November 1988. Billy wanted to work within a band again. He brought with him Ray Weston, the drummer who performed on his debut solo album ["Transportation"], and Robin Simon. Billy and Robin were old friends who had worked together on Ultravox's "Systems of Romance" album. The vocalist, Marcus O'Higgins, was introduced to Billy by his acupuncturist, and Sue Rachel came into the band (on bass and backing vocals) after the suggestion from the group Dead or Alive who were recording an album in Billy's studio at the time. There's a great feeling of energized freedom on this album, with Billy, at times, taking complete control of the form and writing of the music with the band clearly enjoying being swept along. The song "Suffering Cease" is a staggering seven and a half minutes long - "New Age Progressive" as Robin Simon called it. There is also, as in the track "Undertow", a continuing experimentation of the electronic vibe that Billy had a big part in creating from his Visage, Ultravox and Gary Numan days. どもです。大変ご無沙汰しておりました。 ２７日夜、無事にオージーより遠征スタッフ業務を終えて帰国しました。 行く前には、いくらお金があっても困らないように今年から凄く出費を 押さえておりましたが、無事にその辺りも開放モードとなり、 帰国翌日に、念願のNATION12の新譜を海女損で購入。 ついでにイノキンからTIGAやらもカートにぶっこンでしまいました（汗）。 いつもの音楽雑誌買いもしてきましたが、UKではジュリアン・コープとか FALLのLIVEもあるのね、天国のようだわ（はあと）と思っておりましたら、 Mitsu Griffさんの「JOHN先生のLIVEが近日あるらしい」という書き込みを ココで発見・・・。 もう、行くしかないですね＜UK。今度こそ！！ あとはレースの日とかぶっていないことを祈るのみ！ でわでわ。またお邪魔しまーす。
